Emiliano Canali is Counsel at Alma Lux, where he leads the Luxembourg investment funds practice. He advises asset managers, institutional investors, and financial institutions on the structuring, launch, and operation of regulated and unregulated Luxembourg investment funds – including hedge funds and alternative assets strategies (real estate, private equity, venture capital and others) – as well as on the regulatory and governance aspects of their management entities.
With over a decade of experience in the investment funds sector, Emiliano combines deep technical expertise with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to help clients navigate complex cross-border challenges and achieve their strategic objectives.
He has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2016 and was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2013. Before joining Alma Lux, Emiliano practiced law for almost ten years with the investment management practice of a leading independent Luxembourg law firm.
Emiliano holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Pisa (Italy) and an LL.M. in European Law from the University of Maastricht (the Netherlands).
Emiliano is an Italian native speaker; he is fluent in French, English and Romanian.
